MICHELLE FOUNTAIN
- Michelle is a Western North Carolina artists. Throughout her life, she has worked with paints, crayons, pencils, watercolors, clay, etc. Fine Arts have always been a hobby of hers. She loves it all, from sculpting to painting to creating birdhouse gourds. Having dabbled in a number of mediums over the years, she is still developing her signature “artistic style, ” and having lots of fun along the way! Michelle is inspired by so many artists, including many North Carolina artists. She took art classes in high school and minored in Fine Arts and Photography at Brooklyn College, NY, where she obtained her B.S. in Business Management & Finance. Brooklyn is Michelle's hometown. She later obtained her A.S. in Baking and Pastry from Johnson & Wales University, FL. For 18 years, Michelle operated her own award-winning cake business called Icing on the Cake, where cake was her canvas and buttercream, fondant, and food coloring her mediums. While she loved running her cake business, she decided to close shop in 2016 to pursue other interests. She lives in Arden, NC with her husband, two children, and dogs Snoopy and Lucy.
