Another great opening night! Lots of wondeful folks came out to support us at Artmatch Gallery. It's been a real treat being able to share these experiences with Mom and Dad. A big thanks to everyone who came out to support us! A few pictures of the night pasted here.

Well, it's officially one week (and one day) before the Atlanta opening and all of the paintings have been delivered to the gallery with care, in hopes that lots of art collectors soon will be there!
Mom and I are taking the "Crossroads" Show to Atlanta, GA. There will be an opening reception on July 11th and a closing reception on July 25th, at Artmatch Gallery.
A friend of mine was talking the other day about how her daughter just loves dandelions and calls them "wishes." This inspired me to go home that very day and create a painting just for her. You simply cannot ignore the calling when something or someone inspires you to create. In the end, your creation will mean that much more to you and to them. Who wouldn't be inspired by the simple joy of a beautiful child blowing on a dandelion and making a wish. Next time you see a dandelion, no matter how old you are, blow and make a wish. I hope all your dreams come true!
It's always fun to give the gift of art!!!! Two Amy Sullivan originals for two very lovely ladies!!!!
I had a wonderful painting party at my condo today with Wendy (mom) and Nina (daughter, age 8). It was the tail end of Nina's spring break from school, so they decided a painting day with Ms. Amy would make for a fun and relaxing end to the week. It was a "paint what you want" party with the only direction being to paint something inspired by "Spring." Check out their awesome paintings!!!! It's so wonderful to be able to inspire others to create art and to watch the joy on the faces of both children and adults as they make something beautiful with their own hands and imagination!!!!
I can't even begin to describe what an amazing night we had in Raleigh, NC Friday night at our Simkin art opening. I loved the hair salon / art gallery setting. It was really a great location for my first official art opening. Together, Mom and I sold 11 paintings in three hours!!! We met some really lovely folks at the opening and everyone was so nice and had such wonderful things to say about our paintings!!! Even my niece and nephew were troopers and had a great time!!! The remaining paintings will be on display at Simkin for the remainder of the month. Fingers crossed for more sales!!!
I have posted a few pics of the night below. Enjoy! Amy This past Saturday, Mom and I delivered 34 paintings to Simkin Gallery in Raleigh, GA in anticipation of our April 4th opening. Mark sent me these photos of a few of the paintings already hung on the wall. They did such a great job with grouping the paintings!!! It's going to be a great show!!
Amy The invitation for the Raleigh, NC art opening has finally arrived!! We are super excited to share this "Crossroads" collection with the folks of Raleigh. I will take tons of pictures of the event and post them here after the opening on April 4th.
My Mom and I are slated to have an art opening at Simkin Art Gallery in Raleigh, NC this April. We are working in earnest to complete approximately 15 to 20 paintings each so that we can successfully fill the gallery walls. Being out of our element, we don't know what to expect, but we are moving forward with high hopes that, at a minimum, we will have a great mother/daughter bonding experience and create some really great art!!!
The art opening will take place on April 4, 2014 and the art will remain in the gallery for the entire month of April. Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to paint I go . . . . . Amy |
